Dr. Alexander Wegener

Dr. Alexander Wegener is the managing director of interpublic berlin. He has a proven experience in science and consultancy throughout Europe, Australasia, Africa and North America. He gives lectures on public management at various universities in Germany. He specialises in local government, local government finance and financial management, public finance and accounting standards including comparative analysis of private and public sector accounting standards, regional and local economic development, including marketing and clustering. He studied Administrative Science (Verwaltungswissenschaften) at the University of Constance and visited the Rheinisch-Westfälische Universität Bonn, the Freie Universität Berlin, the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin and the Technische Universität Berlin. He got his PhD from the Fernuniversität Hagen on local government competition policies.
